AN UPDATE REGARDING COVID-19:
Given the ongoing challenges faced with the Corona Virus, and to be in compliance with the government guidelines, Miska Haven has implemented the practices listed below until further notice.
Given the current Emergency Program Act (EPA) Ministerial Order No. M1721, Miska Haven will only be open for guests within BC’s Northern & Interior Health Regions until May 25,2021. We are open for taking bookings from all areas after May 25, 2021 and will provide full refunds to anyone impacted by either this order being extended or expanded.
Extra cleaning – Our facilities will be scrubbed and disinfected according to the direction provided by the BC Ministry of Health in the COVID-19 Guidance to Hotel Sector document. All dishes, including pots and pans, will be washed in our dishwasher between guest stays.
|Changes to Check-in and Check-out – Check-in will be moved to 4:00pm (from 3pm) and check-out will be moved to 10am (from 11am) in order to allow for us to have adequate time to clean the facilities. BC Health is currently recommending waiting for 3 hours after a guest has left to enter a room to allow for proper air exchange. Should we not have guests checking in later in the day then we will be able to extend the check-out time.|
Social Distancing – Upon arrival, we will meet you at the Cabin/Yurt and give you a quick intro from 6ft away and then practice social distancing during your visit. This is the hard part for us because we do like to visit!!!
Sharing Space – If we have guests occupying both the cabin and the yurt at the same time, the Gazebo and firepit area will be designated for use by the guests occupying the cabin. We will set up a separate fire pit for the guests staying in the Yurt. Guests are expected to practice social distancing if interacting with other guests.
Viewing by Appt Only – If you are considering booking a wedding or family reunion, we are available for tours by appointment only. Please call us to book a time.
Cancellation Policy Change – Our standard cancellation policy of 30 days notice continues to apply unless guests have answered “yes” to any of our Covid-19 related questions prior to their stay. We will work with guests on a situation by situation basis to either reschedule their stay or provide an appropriate refund.
These policies may be adjusted as new information and direction is provided from health authorities.
